Our Products' Guidelines

We at SustainTheFuture, aim to provide customers with new and innovative environmentally friendly, eco-friendly, nature-friendly, and green products that help individuals reduce the impact they have on the environment. Our aim is to connect the vision, innovation and solution for a sustainable future. We believe that by making small changes in the way we live our everyday lives, we can start making a positive difference. We want to provide consumers a platform that features products and services that are handpicked and that meet our requirements. We want to encourage individuals to purchase eco-friendly products that can be recycled or reused.

 We want to pave the way for consumers to purchase products that last and take into consideration the impact they have on the environment. It's not just the environment we care about here at SustainTheFuture, we are also keen to support the provision of fair-trade. We strive to promote products that support local communities in impoverished nations, using fair-trade suppliers wherever possible.

All our products and items are carefully chosen, after we have personally checked that they are complying with the below strict Standards:  

 Source Materials

 In general, this standard looks at the material(s) in the product in distinct areas and quantifies the amount of the overall product.

- Toxins: Are there any Toxicants in the product?

- Raw material: What is the product made from?

- Natural and Organic: Is the content Natural?

- Sustainable: Is the material from a sustainable source?

- Recycled: How much of the content is made from recycled material?

 Manufacturing

This Basic Life-cycle element looks at the manufacturing and delivery of the product.  This Life-cycle element looks at the manufacturing of the product in these areas:

- Animal Testing: is there any testing done on animals?

- Resource Consumption: does the manufacturing process have an adverse impact on resources as it relates specifically to the overall process.

- Energy Consumption: what is the energy required to manufacture and deliver the product?

- Pollution: what is the impact of manufacturing as it relates to polluting our environment?

- Packaging: how much packaging is used and what is the packaging made from?

 Usage

This Basic Life-cycle element looks at the product from a usage perspective. Does it have a positive impact on the environment?

 These sub-elements apply to products that have the following goals:

- Reduce or eliminate material consumption: does the use of this product reduce or eliminate consumption of other materials?

- Reduce or eliminate trash production: does the use of this product reduce or eliminate trash?

- Reduce or eliminate toxicants in the environment: does the use of this product reduce or eliminate toxicants?

- Reduce or eliminate energy consumption: does the use of this product reduce or eliminate energy consumption?

 Disposal

 How is the item disposed of, and what is the impact? This Basic Life-cycle Standard looks at the product from the end of its useful life, and how it can then be 'disposed' of.

 - Bio-degradable: does the product bio-degrade after it is disposed of?

- Recyclable: can this product be recycled?
